Here's the official name of the tiniest state in our country: State of Rhode Island and the Providence Plantations. Sounds like the American version of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
We had two things planned for Rhode Island and both of them were no-goes. The first was a Chihuly Glass Forest at RISD. Closed on Mondays. The other was the Flying Horse Carousel (the oldest carousel in the U.S.). Closed for the season.
Big, big bummer!
So we stopped by Friend's aunt and uncle who live in Providence, found a Wendy's for a quick dinner followed by a tearful good-bye. It was dark now. What do people do in this state?
