Quote of the Day

Peanut, "Wow, mom, now we can say we've been to all 50 states! What are we gonna do next?"

Idaho -- State #11

In a few weeks we'll explore southern Idaho, but for now, we're just stopping for the night in Coeur d'Alene. It's supposed to be a gorgeous place, but we're not going exploring. I imagine we're in for a beautiful drive today. I've never been to Glacier, MT so I'm pretty excited.

All I can say is that one
of our stops had a pink bathroom. Doodle was tickled silly by this and didn't want to leave! The pool was great for the kids last night and we all slept decently.

Happy Trails!

  1. Having traveled three times via car between Washington and the midwest, I can honestly say that Montana is the most beautiful state. We have backpacked in Glacier and loved it ( along with the grizzlies and the moose). I am very familiar with Mary's Lodge. You don't realize how beautiful it is until you walk inside. I haven't been to North Dakota, but have to South 3 times. I hope you hit it on the way back. We loved Devil's Tower, Wall drugs and especially the Badlands. I wish we had more time to visit Rushmore Park. It looked beautiful. There is a town called Leeds (sp?) there that looked like a great place to spend the night. Entering the park is a fun old-timey western town with cowboys and all. Oh, and the prairie dogs are very cute and funny. Hope you get to stop in SD. Have fun in humid Minn. If you go down the state, don't forget to stop in Walnut Grove.
    Have fun,
Your England friends DM and KM and Lil' CM
